Hey all- glad to see everyone here well. I just finished up another semester of college and things are going well. Seems like my hair has been growing consistently all the while as well which is awesome!
I was wondering, does hair ever just randomly stop growing, for dietary or stress related reasons? Obviously when you hit terminal length it stops, but other than that, does it ever just stop growing? I'm trying to track my hair growth progress and how much it will grow in future and obviously things like this will impact my predictions. I've also heard that hair stops growing if its damaged and constantly breaking off at the ends(so as to give the illusion of no more growth occurring). If anyone has experience with any of this I'd love to hear what you have to say- helps me out a lot in my planning/prediction :)
Cheers!

Hi Avi
From what I read about hair.
Hair always keep growing but they have a lifetime. This lifetime depends on your genetics and when hair reach its lifetime it falls and a new one start growing. That's why you loose hair each day. Growing speed also depends on your genetics and your health, what you're eating...
Hair lifetime and growing speed determine your terminal length.
Hair grows from root to tips so if tips are damaged or cut it have no influence on growing speed.
