Hi, I lost my hair at a young age but I like having hair so I wear a hairpiece. I always wanted longer hair but since my own was thin I never could. But I got the nerve to buy a full cap hairpiece with really long hair. but I'm not sure if it looks ok. I know it's too thick on the sides but if I do get another someday I would get less density. I found this site and hope it's not to odd to ask what you guys think.. I haven't been wearing it because its warm in the summer and I started to felt like maybe I look fake or too old to have it like this. I just turned 50. I am just curious if you think it looks natural or is it too long. I really became infatuated with the idea of having a ponytail.
ponytail
The pic is pretty blurry and we just see you from a side-rear angle, so I can't really evaluate the look that well, but it looks good enough from what we can see. I've considered a piece of some sort as my hair's getting thinner on top, but mine has a lot of gray in it, so I'm not sure it would be easy to match it to anything.
I attached two front facing pictures. My phone is crap for clear photos. What I basically would like to know is not if its perfect and looks like it's growing but if it were does the style look ok on me an older guy. I know long hair is it's own look and not considered current by some but I don't care about that. About the gray you can get hair with varying percentages of gray in them even localized higher percentages like at the temples. If I buy a new ca0beith less density I will order a 20% gray one.
ii would mention at this point i'm 67 years old and the hair is now 100% grey. And I intend to keep it long and grey
photo didn't attach well.
frontThat actually looks pretty good to my eyes. And for what it's worth, you're a pretty young-looking 50!
Don
I would say it looks good. (click on the blue link to go to his photo)
Now when you see someone who has a hairpiece it often screams out fake. This one doesn't and actually looks natural.
At the company I work for we had a salesman whose hair screamed fake.
Yes, it looks fine to me as well. Hairpieces often get a bad reputation with because of those who wear poor ones or wear them wrong. But we've all seen many people who wear them right and we just didn't know it. I think you're good.
Thanks for your honest opinion.
I really like your hair.
It does not look fake at all.
It's OK to have a hairpiece if it makes you happy and help you fulfill your wish of wearing a ponytail
By the way, is it custom made or did you buy it from the shop?
Cheers!
