Triped over this on the internet. Oh the memories..
Memories of times pastRobots. Soulless robots.
I'm old enough to remember those days.
The more these people complained about long hair the more I was determined to keep my hair long.
Thats funny. I can visualize my dad standing there protesting! Thanks for sharing.
It's a fake and not a good photoshopped image.
The first thing I noticed are orientation of "LONG HAIR" text that doesn't match with sign perspective.
In the comments there are the original image and I found the source of the image with all its metadata on an official governmental site here: https://www.loc.gov/resource/ppmsca.19754/
I don't what is the purpose of this image.
Except you're missing the critical point here.
I'm 67 years old,i started growing my hair long in 1964 when a group of guys appeared on the Ed Sullivan who called them selves the Beatles. Well the die was cast, and i like many others started growing our hair long. And we got lots of blowback from those opposed to men growing their long. I remember all those fights.
Being fifteen years younger than you and a *real* (i. e. post-awkward stage) longhair for now about half of my life, I had fights only with my parents, when I was in my early twenties and still pretty dependent on them... the only offensive reaction in public I gained was somewhen around 2000, from an East German drunkard in a Cologne subway train - preferably, I had him forcibly strapped onto a time machine and sent him back to the good old GDR (and watching him cry for bananas via YouTube Intertemp!).
See you in Khyberspace!

Just to introduce some hope, I saw a couple of services from York Minister sung by the choir. One of the choir men has long hair. He was merrily singing with his cassock, surplice and academic hood, and long blond hair.
At least this side of the Atlantic, the tide has turned and men can have their hair as they want and live in mainstream life.
