Who has time for petty issues like this when there are real creeps in the world like this guy. All the rest is just phobic material and insecurity issues. What you do (or don't do) in your bedroom (or other convenient room) is your business and no one elses.

Now this site pisses me OFF!
hmmm, when I first saw this site I laughed, I take the whole thing as a joke. Surely no one could be so stupid, ignorant and down right idiotic to believe all that... could they?
Well, I don't think it's funny. A hip hop music group made a CD that the cover art shows someone pushing a button on a remote control that says "Engage", and in the background the Would Trade Center is blowing up. After 911 the CD cover art was changed, but it's still a lesson that people should be careful what they wish for.
Yes, there really are people who believe like the "quote," which we must consider a fictional version unless we are given a reference. But if you have spoken to enought Christian Fundamentalist you will realize that they do have a religion of social control, related to the way they experienced life at the immediate end of WW II.
Life was simplier then, at least if you were a white male, preferably veteran.
Bud that is a world that is gone. The Christian Fundamentalist haven't a clue about how to deal with the world that is, so in their blankness they equate the good deads our men did to liaberate Europe with the fashions they expressed when they got out of service. They saw that as a result of the military, so they model their lives on the military. Even in their churches they like to sings songs about war and christian soldiers. They do not know what the crusades was like, because they don't pay much attention to history.
Unfortunately while they are teaching rules that no sane person could follow, they do not know enought statistics to grasp that it is their children who are going afoul of civilization and ending up in jail.
They are opposed to uncensored education of their children, and by requiring that their minds be programed, which results in many children derailing, they cripple their children from being thoughtful citizens.
They mean well, but their eyes and ears are shuttered, and their minds are closed.
The quote "Be careful what you wish for" is not necessarily related to "Be careful what you pray for".
I saw discussion about a web site that advocates hate crimes and mass murder of "Hippies"--that includes men with long hair.
A reply said he laughed at the web site, thinking it wasn't serious?
My reply said I didn't think it was something to laugh about--whethor Christian or not, wars, terrorism, and hate crimes happen and ANYONE could be a target. I gave an example of a music CD artwork that (before the release last November) showed someone blowing up the World Trade Center. Regardless of whethor or not The Coup "Party Music" CD really wanted to see the World Trade Center blow up, the World Trade Center was attacked and destroyed.
Some war veterans act as if they were the alumni and regard war like their high school or college days. They think of the military as some sort of "fraternal order." (Remember Hell's Angels?) In fact, in the book "Diário de um mago" (En inglés, está "Diary of a Magus," por favor.) by Paulo Coelho, it talks about "Fighting the Good Fight!"
I rate this site 4 timothys out of a possible 5!
They lose a timothy because of their association with the Anti-Mullet League whose work I have always respected. ;-)
The Rev
lol :) Right on!
I rate this site 4 timothys out of a possible 5!
The Rev
......What a great idea!!! Clever & witty too!
...because now I've been counted as a 'Visitor'...
it seems to me like this site was meant as a joke and not serious, i wouldent get upset over it, i just wouldnt go back
What you do (or don't do) in your bedroom (or other convenient room) is your business and no one elses.
href=http://www.devo.com/tft/hippie/index.html
...and with all those pages & pics that site SEEMs to be
quite involved & SERIOUS or...
....am I missing something?
Well, looking up the WWW hierarchy, I noticed that it is a division of Ten-Fat-Tigers (sounds like a cult?) at http://www.devo.com/tft/
Affiliated with that is Nimietism (from nimitus, meaning too
much). I can't find this word on my American Heritage Dictionary! This is at http://www.devo.com/nim/
Finally, you can go to the Devo Communications Art Collective at http://www.devo.com/
This is stupid and it was not necessary to show everyone that site! People here need encouragment to grow their hair, not some stupid loser bashing them.
It is necessary to understand what you are up against and why. There are reasons longhairs get flak from society and sites like these sum up those reasons. Kids post here about starting to grow their hair and wonder why they get negative reactions at school and home. When they see these site they don't have to wonder why anymore but can now think how to deal with those attitudes seeing where they come from.
I sent a note to the FBI since that site it has a section called
"tactics against hippies" which advocates using insecticides,
machetes, baseball bats, wild animals, poison tainted consumables and
laced clothing (booby traps), gas chambers, pipe bombs and other such
devices on U.S. citizens at peaceful gatherings. It also describes a
"good" way to kill large numbers of people at concerts buy using bombs
under the stages.
Go here to do the same: https://www.ifccfbi.gov/complaint/terrorist.asp
...I did not realize they were actually advocating VIOLENCE!...
...Wow! And what gets me is that the site was UPdated...
....in Dec. of 2001...well after the tragedy of 9/11!
Thanks for bringing it uP!
Correct! In fact, if you look at the labels of some products such as lye, you will see a harsh warning saying, "IT IS A FEDERAL OFFENSE TO USE THESE PRODUCTS THAT ARE INCONSISTENT WITH ITS LABELING." I believe that the reason is that these inorganic chemicals will harm the environment, not to mention the people using these chemicals!
