Greetings to all mlhh members and guests. It has come to my attention that a longtime member and fellow moderator has passed away around a month ago.Scott "Absalom" Nagel was a moderator and treasurer of the mlhh when I joined back around 2005.I had the honor to personally meet him during my many visits to California over the years. He was a down to earth nice guy who became a true friend.Over the years we have lost others here as its just the nature of time passing by.Scott was a great contributor to this site during his active years and will truly be missed by those that knew him. Now Scott has moved on to the afterlife leaving us all with memories of when the mlhh was really active before social media really took off.God speed to Scott as you will be missed but not forgotten. Thanks to everyone taking the time to read this tribute.

Hi Mark,
Thank you for being on top of things and for letting us know about Scott. Naturally, I am very sorry to hear this sad news. I had noticed that he hadnt posted in ages, and was wondering whether something had happened.
Although I never had the pleasure of meeting Scott personally, I was also part of the moderation team in the old days and it was a pleasure to work with him, yourself, and other members of the moderation team. I always held him in the highest regard, as I know everyone did.
Thank you again, Mark, and take care.
David
Hi David great to hear from you again but sorry it has to be under such circumstances.I followed Scott on Facebook, since he stopped posting on mlhh, and noticed he hasn't posted anything since early September.I looked up one of his local Facebook friends and messaged him is how I found out.I had Scott's home phone number but when I called it was disconnected.Very sad to loose yet another old friend from the community. It's just not the same anymore. However happy to see your around and hoping life is treating you well my friend.

Rest in Peace Scott
Thank you Kris for posting on Scott's behalf as we all will miss his presence.Cheers

Thanks for letting the board know and for your fine tribute to Scott.
I had known Scott of almost 25 years here on MLHH and later Facebook. He was always such a strong supporter of long hair and he also did fine service as a moderator and treasurer. He was one of the few guys who could grow his hair to his knees. I know he said his mane lost some of its luster in more recent years but he was able to keep his long hair until the end.
RIP Scott and may you fly free. I'm happy that at least your suffering is past.
Hi Jason,I know we messaged on facebook about this but thank you for posting on the board since this is we all met so long ago way before facebook was a thing.Scott was always a health nut so to speak who was an avid road biker always trying to take care of his health but there are times when even that isn't enough. At least Scott is in a better place and free from any pain he likely was experiencing. Thanks for posting here as ion my view this is where all of our friendships begun.Cheers.

Hi friends...Its been a while since I popped in and...wow...I'm sad to hear of Scott's passing. My deepest condolences to everybody who called Scott a friend. I didn't know him personally, but did interact with him some here on the MLHH years back. Scott always came across as a good dude and, of course, his long hair was straight-up awesome. Thank you Mark for letting us all know and it's good to see that you, Jason, David and others are still around after all these years. I sincerely hope everyone is doing well.
Take care,
Garth
Hi Garth, I certainly remember you and thanks for taking the time to acknowledge the passing of Scott.I knew months back that Scott was ill but when he went silent on facebook for months I started checking in with his local friends to finally confirm the worst.Since I personally met Scott during my visits to Cali he's more than just a face on a screen.A genuine nice guy who always was the cheerleader of our cause here.He truly will be missed and as the years go by its sad when another member is found to have passed on.Hoping life is treating you well Garth and again thank you for the feedback.Cheers.

He will be missed, I just heard the news of his passing today.
He was a great contribution to helping us get motivated into living our dreams, and keeping our peaceful cohabitation with the community.
Thank you very much Scott.
Thank you Georges for your kind words about Scott.Being I personally met him several times I found him to be a really chill guy who really supported our cause here.Thank you again for your comments my friend.Cheers

Sad news. I just see two happy friends enjoying their long hair on this photo!
When I discovered the MLHH I saw many photos of Scott with his super long hair and his ponytail with multiple hair ties. I did like him and I find that it's convenient to avoid tangles hair.
Even if I have never interacted with him, I found that he was a cool guy.
Thank you Jesus Forain for your kind comments regarding Scott. From what I recall I first met Scott in person during a trip out to California in 2008.I have met him several times during followup visits out to the west coast and can say he is a genuinely sweet guy.I'm the guy in that pick sort of weight lifting Scott's ponytail! LOL.
It's sad thinking back of the old members here I've personally met who are no longer with us but I do have the memories at least.I appreciate your reply to this thread Jesus as Scott deserves this recognition.Cheers.
