Does anyone have experience with Rogain?
After all these years of having long hair i've noticed some receeding hair line and balding spots.
I was looking at reviews of Rogain and one of the chief complaints is Rogain can lead to hair loss rather than hair gain.
I'm now 71 years old.
Hi LHIA, great to hear from you as I was wondering where you've been lately and oh by the way Happy New Year. As far as what you've described I personally have had no experience with Rogain but I do take Finasterride as a perscription and heard that is beneficial for hair however I'm taking that for different reasons. In my situation I'm approaching my mid 60s but thankfully I still have all my hair even though its not as long as it used to be in my younger days.Still I'm thankful for what I have and never plan to cut it short.I've been a longhair for a long, long time.Anyway hopefully another user here may have a suggestion so keep the faith my friend and don't give up.Cheers!

I was originally planning on never cutting my hair but I don't like the way it looks now. But i've had long hair too long to cut it.

Hi LHIA,
Wow surprised your still working at the age of 71 unless of course your self employed.Still if you enjoy what your doing that's cool.
Yes your are correct as I take the finasteride for the prostate but if there are also benefits for the hair then that's great.
Well hopefully you can avoid having to cut your hair significantly so let s see if another user here comes up with a suggestion.I know suggestions of this nature have been made in the past here but to find them afterv all these years would be a project.
Anyway by all means hope to see you around here more often.Best for the New Year.

Hi LonghairinAlbany,
Im 72, and still have an excellent hairline in front, and a very slight thinning in the crown area. That hasnt changed significantly in the last 15 years, and I have been taking finasteride during that time. My hair is fairly straight, and about midway between mid back and waist.
I have no experience with topical products like Rogain, and my apologies for not being of more help. Hopefully, there is someone else who can offer more advice.
David
No idea how people can have long hair at 70 and beyond.
99% of men at this age are bald
Im not bald, Im 72, going on 73 this year, and actually have an excellent head of hair, with a decent thickness as well. I have no right to complain, lol. I have a couple of new videos on my YouTube channel, and I posted a photo in Jasons earlier thread as well. So it IS possible.

You are lucky DNA lottery winner :)
