I suppose that everybody here knows this TV series form the 90s where the main character Duncan Macleod have long hair tied in a ponytail. Sadly, he cuts his hair at the beginning of the last season (119 episodes in 6 seasons). I found that this ponytail was a part of the Macleod character, it's a little like if we remove the costume of Superman in a movie.
The actor who played Duncan Macleod was Adrian Paul and I found his YouTube channel where he explains some beyond the scenes and answer questions about the Highlander TV series.
I thought he used a long hair wig but it's not exactly this. He had mid length hair, longer than usual but not long enough to be tied in a ponytail.
He got hair extensions for scenes with long hair and a short hair wig for scenes with short hair. His real hair was simply put under the wig behind his head with hair pins.
I always wanted to have these hair ties with Celtic symbols, I find them cool and it was the only hair ties specifically designed for men. They were sold when the official store used to exists a long time ago. I've searched on Ebay but I can't find ones.

Hi Jesus,
Thank you for sharing these videos that give so much information about the hair styles of the actor in the Highlander series, and how he went about them.
However, one thing that strikes me most about your post is that it seems that we can now post videos on the new version of the MLHH. I don’t think we ever had direct videos on the old site, apart from giving the link to the video on YouTube. They could never be directly viewed on the MLHH, rather, one had to click on a link to watch them on YouTube.
I was wondering whether this applies directly to videos on one’s device, without having to go through YouTube? I know that photos are accessed through one’s device, and it’s certainly a huge improvement from the old MLHH if videos could be downloaded the same way. I have a few videos on my iPad, and it’s cool that one could post a video if one wanted to.

Welcome in the future! Just copy and paste URL of the video in the text editor. It's compatible with main video websites such as YouTube, Dailymotion, TikTok and Facebook. Facebook was the worst to integrate because they have multiple and complex URL patterns for videos compared to others services like YouTube where you have only one URL pattern to process.

Hosting videos on the MLHH server would be a problem because for video files you need a lot of resources: lot of disk space, high bandwidth and a powerful CPU to process video. You have to use YouTube or any another video sharing service to host videos and then integrate the video in you message.
Hi Jesus,
Thanks for confirming, and your explanation makes sense that one cannot link directly to one’s device. I do have a few hair videos on my YouTube channel, though, and may try, as an experiment, posting them here as a test in the near future.
I don’t use any of the other social media sites like FB, Instagram, or Twitter. I only started using Reddit recently.

Hi Jesus,
I read your Q and A with David regarding posting videos on the mlhh and kind of get it about what you were saying regarding the server we use for the site.I imagine if we were to process videos a dedicated server would be needed which I assume would include more cost over and above what it is now.I have to figure out what we have now as I type this reply I see all these symbols above my text which I have no idea what they are for until I try them. The videos you posted played well as I had no issues viewing them.As for those ponytail holders he mentioned possibly still having some but actually I have a couple similar but don't recall where I purchased them.Cheers

Very interesting, I remember this show although didn't actually watch it a lot at the time, might have to try and find some ties similar to these designs.
