Surprised to see this board is still around. I used to frequent it about twenty years ago. My hair hit terminal length at my ankles. Keep growing, but beware of the people you encounter.
My username was Bruin, for the UCLA Bruins, unaware that Bruin also means bear, in some circles, and a bear is also a gay man.
Again, be careful of the people who admire you for how you look.
Hi Bruin,
Welcome back to our new version of the MLHH, and as you’ve no doubt noticed, it has a much more modern look now. Jesus Forain did a good portion of the work bringing it up to modem standards, and it’s still a work in progress.
I’ve been around the MLHH seemingly forever, with my first posts from somewhere around late 2006 to early 2007, can’t remember exactly when. I must have just missed seeing you around, though, since you mentioned that it’s been around 20 years since you posted.
That’s awesome that you achieved ankle length hair, and that is a massive accomplishment. Even getting past waist length is very difficult, knee length is even rarer, and ankle length is almost unheard of. I still have a good head of hair at 72, but my terminal length is still short of my waist.
I was curious if you’ve been able to keep your hair that long through the years?

Not going by Bruin anymore. Please, call me Cicero.
Before recently, my last post was around late 2005 or early 2006. As you mentioned, we must have just missed each other.
I don't even recognize this site anymore with the changes. Time does that. Very different now.
Been keeping my hair at waist-length for some years now. Head hair has recently become thinner, so I decided to grow out my facial hair to compensate. Sitting on my hair got old after awhile, too. It was a goal of mine to see what my terminal length was… I achieved that goal and moved on.
I'm happy to say that I defied the odds and the adversity/conflict that goes along with trying to defy the odds.
I'll try to check back later.
Cicero
Hi Cicero,
I don't even recognize this site anymore with the changes. Time does that. Very different now.
The site was still unchanged until 03/25/2026 and after two days shutdown to setup the new version, the new site was online 03/27/2026.
Hi Cicero,
Thank you for clarifying about your user name, and my apologies for the confusion earlier. I see that you have already posted a few times here, and thank you for your earlier kind words about my hair as well.
Even though your hair is shorter now, waist length is a fantastic length, and beyond what I’ve been able to achieve. The fact that you had ankle length hair is a huge accomplishment, but I understand that it’s a lot to look after, and your desire for a more manageable length.
It would be cool to see a photo of your current length, but only if you’re comfortable doing so.

On a side note, while trying to reply to your post here, I inadvertently deleted my earlier initial reply to you, and that’s why it’s missing now. I can’t see any way to get my earlier reply back.

I'll try to restore it later from a database backup.
Thanks Jesus,
It was a stupid error on my part. I thought that I had clicked on Cicero’s reply to my post, in order to reply to it. Inadvertently I realized that I was replying to my response to him instead, so I hit the “delete” button, and my initial reply to him disappeared.
I’m glad that there’s a way to get it back, and remedy my clumsy fingers, lol.

(Edited, I see that you were able to restore my earlier post, thank you!)
Funny that… I uploaded a couple pics of me from times once past. I guess they didn't pass Moderator approval now when they were posted decades ago.
Any was of circumventing Moderator approval for a veteran poster?
I'll try o

ne last time to upload an old picture and take future involvement from there.

Hi Cicero,
Just saw you post held in queue so just released it for you. When making a post please make sure your login credentials are entered correctly. Likely that's what occurred as something must have be entered that didn't match.Beyond that what a fantastic pic of your hair down! When was that photo taken? Cheers.

Hi Cicero,
Wow, what an epic mane you were blessed with. I could see it in very small size in your avatar photo, but being able to see a full sized image of it shows it in its full glory.
There’s an exceptionally small number of guys who could grow their hair that long, and it requires perfect hair genes to do so.
Thank you for sharing.
David
Hi Cicero!
I've been off and on MLHH for quite a few years but never got the chance to message you. I looked at your profile and wow, looks like your probably had the longest hair on here! Do you have pictures from when your hair was down to your ankles, as well as recent pictures? It looks like all the photos from before the website change have been purged.
Cheers!
Hi OAD,
In response to your last comment regarding photos being purged from the old to the new mlhh I'd have to refer that question to Jesus Forain since he worked on the update of the site.Hopefully he catches this thread to respond but if not I could reach out to him directly to find out. Thanks for your inquiry.Cheers

Hi OAD,
It looks like all the photos from before the website change have been purged.
No photo was purged during the update.
Photos from 2006 to now are present. Before 2006, the photos doesn't exists, they may have been purged on the server because I hadn't found them. All photos that were on the old server are online here.
