new thread
Hello everyone! New month and a new update picture. Still inching (millimetering) along, now at about 9 months out from my last haircut which was about October 2025 - I'll post a pic from then and my current update. Still have many months to go before I reach my initial goal which is shoulder-length all the way around, but I am happy with my progress and starting to feel like a longhair even if just a beginning one :)

Hi Philip,
What a fantastic update, and the fact that you achieved such length after being almost bald 8 months ago is impressive . It’s clear that your growth rate is well above the average ½ inch per month, since it appears that you have a solid 5 inches of growth here. I know that in an earlier post, that you expressed some concerns about your hairline, but honestly, I see no issues here.
Keep up the good work, and I look forward to your next update. I estimate that your hair will be at chin length in about 6 months.

Thanks David! It feels slow going, but it's good to hear from an objective viewpoint that my hair seems to be growing fast :)

Hi Philip,
First off its amazing how different a person's look changes just by the length of their hair! Honestly comparing your pics it looks like two totally different people. Beyond that your hair has grown a lot since last October as your in the awkward stage as I don't think your able to do a ponytail yet.Hopefully people have been kind and complimenting your new look.I'm curious how your hair will look at the one year anniversary.Anyway appreciate your update and look forward to future ones.Cheers.

You are so right, I am in the middle of the awkward phase and can't really do much with my hair except try in vain to tuck it behind my ears.. usually I just let it fall where it wants at this point - it's a bit ugly for work, but luckily I work in a very pro-individuality environment (a library) so it doesn't matter too much - still feels awkward though!
I am curious too how my hair will look around October! I'll keep posting monthly updates.
