Hi I have a few questions about my hair and how it looks currently, what are some decent shampoos to use ect.
First off I've been growing my hair out since probably last December. My hair is layered as the back is longer than the front (the back can go down to the base of my neck and the bangs are down to about my mouth). I usually just part my hair, but for some reason the hair from the top back of my skull sort of pushes up and I can't keep it down. Is this just part of it growing out? Also will my hair most likely push down as it grows out further (I've had comments that I look like a Beatle's member)?
I've been experimenting with shampoos but now feel comfortable with Paul Mitchell's Special Tea Tree Shampoo and Conditioner. Is this a good choice? I don't have any complaints, though sometimes I'll have bad hair days where a few of my hairs (basically the bangs) get a bit swirly and impossible to straighten out by brushing out. Is that because the shampoo/conditioner isn't the best for my hair?
And finally, I made the mistake of cutting some of my bangs due to them getting swirly and in the way. But now I sort of have a bald spot when I push my hair back. There are a few little stubborn hairs growing out. Is this normal? Should I just let those hairs grow out or did I make a huge mistake? Thanks for any help.
The back of your hair FLIPS like that because it has no other choice...
no other place to go.
SOLUTION: you need to redirect its direction when still wet or damp.
Twisting hair in a vertical curl with brush can be helpful.
Part hair in back and send hair to each side of neck. Experiment.
If your bangs reach your mouth they SHOULD tuck behind your ears.
Have you ever used alcohol-free gel on your bangs?
EVERYbody has 'bad hair' days. Weather and a million other things
can work against you. I hate bad hair days...I hate them...hate them I tell you.
Stop cutting your hair.
If Paul Mitchell's Special Tea Tree Shampoo works for you...
then it's perfect for you.
Good luck...I'm exhausted...
...see me throw myself down on the sofa...

Hey thanks for the tips, appreciate it. I was wondering about the verticle curl. My hair is naturally straight, but would this help at all with the annoying hairs? Does it do any damage?

Damage? No, just take a wide-tooth comb or brush and rotate
your hair into a direction that works for your hair.
If your hair flips UP you might try some kind of UNDERcurl
in the opposite direction OR...
twisting your hair off to the side....i.e. in any direction but up!
