Does anyone find their peak shedding time to be in the morning after they get up? That seems to be the time that I get most hairs in the ol' brush feel them falling on the face, sholders, and arms. The rest of the day, they come out in much less quantities. Is there an explanation for this phenom.
My best guess is that the rate is the same throughout the day/night, but during the night you're not doing anything really, so it sort of accumulates until you get up. For me, the peak time is shower time, when there is obviously more hair activity going on.

Very true for me too. I keep a big/large toothed pick/comb in the shower and use it to comb the conditioner through my hair...it does wonders and ensures that the conditioner is getting all the way through my hair. I am usually cleaning out the drain in the shower at least once a week...nothing major, but enough to cause a slight back up. Also, find that a few hairs will be shed when I go to pull my pony tail holder out after sweating while having it up playing tennis, working out, cutting the grass, etc. I would imagine these are hairs that have actually broken during all of the physical activity and the sweating. Again, nothing major...just a few broken pieces.
