Well I´m at 10 months now and my hair starts getting long and for this I have a question. How do you style you hair after washing? I have straight/a little wavy hair and it´s a little thin (not that much). Usual when I washed it I brush it backwards and let it dry, then when it´s dry I do a Mittelscheitel (in german I don´t know the english expression) that means I bruash it from the middle to right.
Here´s a picture how it looks like (it´s an old guy but I didn´t find a better one ;P): http://www.johann-strauss.at/bilder/005e.jpg
How do you style your hair? Also brush it back and then when it´s dry to the sides or do you have other habits?
I part it straight down the middle and let it all hang lose. It's too long to do anything more practical with it. I've tried wearing it in a French braid, but my wife doesn't know how to braid it effectively.
* Mittelscheitel = center (or centre if you're British) parting
Once your hair is long enough to tie back, you have several choices.
Well, I only comb my hair totally when it`s wet. The curls I leave them when my hair is dry. If I comb my hair entirely when it`s dry, then it would not only damage my hair but also make me look like Messiah Marcolin (lead singer of Candlemass)
Often I would comb it from my forehead in the middle, then tie it, then apply some styling mousse (extra hold) and blow dry it, leaving my hair tied. When it`s dry then, I would part it, leaving my forehead clear. I don`t know if you`ve followed but it`s more practical than descriptive.
My hair is also sort of short. It's very straight (where it's not 'awkward') and fine and I keep it the same way you do.
