Here's my case. I wear a cap at work and a lot of other places besides. Instead of putting my hair in a ponytail, I like to just pull the long hair through the loop in the back of the cap. But this isn't real easy to do since my hair isn't incredibly long yet (remember, I also have an undercut). When I wear a cap I comb all my hair straight back and push all the side hair up under the cap pulling it all in back together. Here is where I want opinions: To get all the long hair through the loop is kinda hard to do. Would it be damaging to my hair to use a vacuum cleaner hose to pull it through the loop to assure getting it all through? Would the suction pressure of the vacuum harm the ends? Just wondering! PEACE!!!!!
Uh... er... um... hmmm...
Which brand did you have in mind?
Personally, I would not risk sucking it through the vacuum. There may not be any physical damage, but the purpose of that hose is to suck dirt off of the floor and there are a lot of microorganisms on the floor/rug. Even though it may appear clean, it isn't...currently taking a microbiology class and you would not believe the cultures I have grown from samples taken off of things that looked clean.
When I had my long hair I use to first put my hair in a ponytail...then I'ld put on my baseball cap, pulling the ponytail through the opening in the back of the cap...then I would take off the ponytail band so as the hair would hang free out of the back of the cap.
Yup, that's what I do.
Good idea! Make tail...pull through hole...am I getting too personal...he..he
Good idea for the hole at the back of the cap.
Bad idea to use a vacuum cleaner hose.
Whatever you do, stay away from the
Hoover. It's just not a good idea.

O.K. guy's,thanks for all the advise and laugh's. Just thought it would make it easier to get it all through the loop since I can't get it all into a ponytail. I've done the "pulling the ponytail through the loop thing" but when I go to seat the hat down on my head, it screws up all the hair that isn't in the ponytail to where I have to push it all back under my hat. I'll steer clear of this vacuum idea though to avoid damage and bacteria. Thanks again, bro's! Peace!!!!!
... especially if the rug cleaner is still attached!
