At work tonight, some old lady behind me wanted to get my attention and called out "miss". A little strange, 'cause my hair on the back of my head is only about 1 1/2 inches long, but I guess it's more noticeable than I thought. Anyway, I thought it was great. Finally, a little recognition. By the time I'm out of my akward phase, I'll probably have grown used to it, but right now, it's still cool enough that I have to let everyone know.
Awesome, man. As weird as it sounds, I used to love getting called "miss" too. Not only did it recognize the fact that I had long hair, but also that I must have had decent-looking hair as well. Funny this is, it often happened when I was facing the person directly; it was almost always old people too... they must've been somewhat blind. Heh. It was still quite amusing.
he..he...now WHY can't they just say things like: "Excuse me, could you please..."
