and musicians or wrestlers, whatever else, care about their hair as much as we, on this board ?
the very act of participating here indicates some extra level of attention to hair here & as such will tend to draw a disproportionate number of longhairs who care alot about their hair as compared to the 'longhair population' as a whole- including musicians, singers, wrestlers, etc. i think, to most guys, growing one's hair out is not the ongoing topic of conversation that it is here.
Probably more cuz they gotsta worry bout what other peeps think bout em 24/7-they don't have the 1-2 yr time period we got for a bad hair stage.

It's hard to tell. I'm a singer and I'm on this board!
Some do, some don't but most probably don't care as much as the people on this board. I know many people who grow their hair out and never really even bother with all these products or care about other longhairs they just grow it. I've noticed that people on messageboards (not just about hair, but anything) are usually more obsessed with whatever topic the message board may be about than everyone else.
