Some of us are catholics, and as we don't mess with anyone I don't want to get mocked or my faith to get mocked, because some people don't understand the CC. Please don't mess with religions, we just mention things, but don't attack, mock or debate.
I don't want to put words in Bill's mouth, but I don't think he meant any offense by what he said. It was just a joke. I hardly saw it as an attack on the Catholic beliefs. Do you all have something up your ass or something? LIGHTEN UP!!! Anyway, it's kind of ironic, because Catholics like to to do the very same thing. Being pagan, I know this all too well.
Its not paganism and do not be opinionated and biased about things you don't know and/or understand. Period. I don't want a debate so no opinions on the church. maybe it was not an offensive remark, but just cut it.
What are you talking about, man? I said I am pagan; I think you misunderstood my meaning. And no one was being opinionated or biased in the least by that little remark. Haha, I love a good joke and never take any offence, even if my religion is on the butt end. Lighten up guys, just because we're Catholic doesn't mean we have to be stuck up, isn't the basis of our religion forgiveness and acceptance?
That's funny, Bill!! He's not poking fun at the Catholic Church, but antics that have come out of the Catholic Church (I think). I'm still chuckling, though.
Actually I was not even addressing anything recent regarding the Catholic Church, but rather the situation that for centuries they've made shrines out of walls where people had apparitions of Jesus. Some of us have joked, Marty included, that he looked like Jesus.
We all know Marty is an upfront Christian and he has not taken any affront whatsoever at suggestions he looks like his Lord. My joke was about Marty looking like Jesus, not about the Catholic Church, guys.
Well, I guess our society has come a long way when mention of gay people draws a less rapid-fire response than mention of Catholics. :-)
