i have a quesion, is it possible for a person to have a terminal length that is still in the awkward stage?
just wondering if it's possible
I have learned in my cyber travels that everyone has different terminal lengths, but terminal spans from 2 to 6 years. Now with 2 years being the least terminal growth, those individuals will essentially achieve one foot of hair length in that time frame. A 1/2 inch a month for 24 months = 12 inches. At 12 inches your bangs would fall roughly to bottom neck and the back would fall somewhere below your shoulder blades. Well out of the awkward stage I'd say. Now those lucky individuals who go 6 years will get 36 inches reaching somewhere below waist level. That is where I hope I land, even with my undercut. Now with all this said, there quiet possibly could be some people out there who have defied the odds and ended up terminal in the awkward stage, but I would guess that to be very rare or due to some abnormality or sickness. Peace!!!!!
But there is much shorter terminal length possible from those parts of the scalp that are subject to male patter baldness. So, while my terminal length is about 18 inches from the top, back, and sides; it only about six inches for hair that grows from above my forehead.
Those hairs are thinner also which makes them prone to tangling in strong winds and when swimming since they don't easily reach my pony tail tie.
But, I can't complain. I'm almost 60 years old now and am happy to have a full head of long flowing hair.
It's possible for any of these reasons:
MPB or its thinning and shortening effects have spread all over your head, not just staying up top (not too common but it happens). You are trashing your hair with really bad hair care techniques.Advanced age or medical conditions are drastically affecting your ability to grow hair.
