I read in a recent GQ magazine a poll that asked men if they would give up 5 years of their life in exchange for having a full head of healthy hair for their entire life. About 50% according that poll said they would. How do you guys feel? I'd say I would.
no
my appreciation of life does not hinge on whether my hair is full and healthy. when and if my hair falls out i'll cut it and move on. yes i would like to have a lifetime of full, healthy hair- but not that much.
Considering the state of the world we're in today and the direction we're most likely headed in, yeah you can have your 5 years. I'll take the hair.
50%? unbelievable....
I would say say "No"
better 60 months more, joining the living and being a baldy....
Healthy and long hair is great and will always boost your confidence if thats what important for you, but if I can stay 5 years longer with my family then I take that, (even if some members of that same family made some of my hairs become gray already)....
I would.
I've always wanted to die before I get old and dependent on others anyway.
I do NOT want to be an old person. I'd rather die younger and leave a damn good looking corpse!
But that's just me!
he..he
You got it! Once I get to the stage where I am having others giving me baths, having others feeding me, having others change my diapers, etc. at this point just let me be...I would much rather be gone at this point!!!
What good is 5 more years in this kind of state?! I just had a Grandmother die last September - She was 102 when she died...and the last couple of years of her life were in the bed having others bath her, feed her, change her diapers, etc. You could tell that she was ready to go and hated living like that. We had a live in nurse with her and "all" of my relatives took turns staying with her on the weekends when the nurse was not there...my wife and I included.
No. Since most of my life experiences (including winning the woman of my dreams 30 years ago) have occurred while I have been without a full head of healthy hair, I'm unable to designate any 5-year block of them (my life experiences) I would trade for having had hair all that time.
Sure, why not... we all die eventually, it's just a question of when.
Not me! My full longhair and the body I've created by overhauling my diet and working out like a maniac make me look and feel 20 years younger and I'm willing to bet it's added 50 years to my life expectancy! I've already given up too many years of my life with too little hair as it is. I'm planning on being active to my last breath, making the Guiness Book and leaving an awesome-looking corpse!
I would rather live those last five years than have a guarantee of something I'm pretty sure I'll have anyway (a lifelong healthy head of hair).
As someone whose hairs is starting to thin, I'd say yes, as long as I knew I could get it to waist length+ before its over and have a few years to enjoy it!
No. Who knows what experiences I would be missing by giving up those 5 years? And keep in mind, not all of us get old before we die. Those 5 years could be a very healthy, happy 5 years... worth much more than a head of hair, to me, anyway.
