I would like some advice from anyone who has had trouble growing facial hair. I am a 27 y/o male who has never been able to grow a proper moustache/beard. I would like to know how other people have coped with this problem and any useful advice.

I think you have to look at two things: genetics and your own health. Do other males in your family, in previous generations, grow thick beards and mustaches? If not, that may be your answer. On the other hand, you may have some health issues that are interfering with your own hormones and how they affect your body. A trip to the doc might be in order. I have found (at 43) that over the years my facial hair has thickened in coverage. My goatee and mustache (sometimes a beard) are much fuller and cover much better than when I was in my 20's. I think it takes time for hormones and genes to do their trick. I have two brothers younger than I and neither could grow a decent beard or mustache. Both are in their mid and late 30's.
