my hair is like 3 inches long ontop and around 1 inch long around the back and sides.. past hair style forced me into growing it like that but more to the point. how long should i expect it to take before my hair is at the length where i can tie it back? i know it wont happen over night but how long on a rough scale? a year? 2 years ?
also does anyone have any hints or tips about shampoo'ing hair? i heard you should shampoo and condition it every other day. what do you all do as far as shampoo'ing gos??
thanks in advance
Well, 3 inches = 6 months...so that's where you are now.
And since 18 months is the standard most hold to...
18-6= 12 months to go..not bad! Good luck!
Sorry, thought you meant when you will have what is considered to be
a longhair.
To tie back? EveryBuddy is different. Some can do it at 10 months...
depends.
thanks for all the replys.. i forgot to ask 1 more thing. does wearing a cap influence ur hair growth at all? ie will it grow slower if i wear a cap? ive been told it does..
Nope, wearing a cap doesn't influence hair growth. Remember the root of the hair grows from the scalp, therefore nothing you do to it externally should affect the rate of growth.

Well, i shaved my head about a year ago, and now i have about 6-7 inches all over. It looks like its layered now, because it started from nothing, so every hair is almost the same length, so i still cant tie it back nicely. starting it longer in the front, like you have it, seems like it would be a good idea. You should probably be able to tie it back sooner than you think.
