i havnt posted on here for ages put i still come on here to read stuff.
I was thinking of putting red highlights in my hair just thought it would look pretty cool, i don't want permanant ones incase it looks really crap so i was just wondered if anyone new if those temporary wash out ones damage your hair or scalp for that matter in any way.

Almost any chemical that you put in your hair will damage it. I think hair dyes are one of the top. I had a semi-permanent blue hair dye in my hair at one time. It made my hair real course. It was also a real mess. For the first few weeks the crap washes out in the shower and your skin gets dyed a tint of the color. You then will have to wash the ring around the tub that the color made. Each time you wash it it fades a little more. In my opinion the stuff looks like crap when it fades. Now this is what i think and some others think about my hair to this day. They think that it still has a small tint of greenish blue in it. Just do not do it unless you wish to shave your head afterwords.
