Here's a good article I just ran across. It's intended for women, but it answers many of the types of questions I see on this board:
Yeah, I've read articles like this before. It does seem to promote the styling industry. They don't want satisfied customers, but steady ones. I'm sure many of the women on the women's page would disagree with this article too. They say in one of the "rules" that hair tends to look flat, but this isn't necessarily true of everyone. It depends on hair type; some is thicker than others. Basically, though, I disagree with this article because of all the evidence I've seen to the contrary; how old is Jerry Hall? I seem to remember her having some very nice hair. And what about Helen Hunt's "Twister" phase? She looked very nice. And of course Cher. So no, I think over-30 women (and men) can pull-off a very long style if cared for properly. Just my $0.02.
My hair is down to the middle of my back. I am 53 years old and decided to grow it 5 years ago. I have it all one length and have trimmed it every 3 months. I may stop trimming it because I want it long enough to sit on. Anyways I need suggestions as to how to get it longer. I love wearing it in a braid althoug it is difficult to do
