Hi, it's been a little over a year since my last (and hopefully final)
haircut... It's currently about 8-1/2" long (a bit past chin length when straight...,
And, almost the end of the 'Awkward Stage' *finally*! :) (and i have yet to use gel/mousse on it...)
so far, my g/f *loves* it (she herself has waist-length...) , and everyone else is neutral... But,
The longer it gets... the more *I* like it ! :)

Pretty good for a year. As it gets longer those curls that probably winged out quite a bit when short will straighten out more with the weight. Looks like you will have a nice bottom edge to your hair.
Good thing you g/f already has long hair, she will be able to provide you with good tips and encouragement.

Your hair is looking great BRO!!! My hair was sort of wavy when I first began growing it long, but I think once it get's around shoulder length or longer it will sort of straighten out a bit, anyway your mane is looking FANTASTIC, and I hope it grow's like a weed!!!

oddly enough, she (and my mom) have been picking up tips from me (!),
and I've apparently inspired my dad to grow his too... :)
what was the original length you started with when deciding to grow out your hair to this now 1 year in length increase?
It was about 2"...,
i had *originally* wanted to grow it 6 months earlier... (but it was of course being awkward, so dad had me go cut it... (from about 4"->2")

i don't think you should trim the bottom like some do to make it "even"; i like the shape as it is. (your hair, not your glasses)
