Re: Tips for Growing Long Hair
What is this fascination women have with coloring hair? I can't figure it out. They say they want nice hair, silky, shiny, manageable, and then they go and destroy it with chemicals. Even perms are damaging, but sometimes necessary for a specific look, I guess. (I would love to see pics of Alana's son's perm, for instance.) And from what I read, long hair is anything that can cover the ears... what is traditionally considered "medium-length" hair at best. I don't think "long" hair is really achieved until you can make a heidi-type braid set and have the ends reach the opposite ears. (I can't think of a better measure right now, sorry.) For guys it's usually considered long where ladies' hair is medium, but that article seemed commercially driven. "Be willing to color"?!?!? What's that got to do with long hair? Talk about something guaranteed to make you cut it at some point! (Like when that natural color thing sounds good again!)
Sorry to rant... Keep it long and chemical-free.
Thanks for posting the URL anyway, Al... There were some good points in the article, too. It's just the bad ones we're singling out here.
