What do guys use to tie your hair back with?
Proper hair bands, normally black. Dont use elastic bands, they'll screw up your hair and hurt like hell.
Its a reference to the fact that when Im an old man I hope to look something like Gandalf.
I use very small proper bands of varying colors, but most often black. Although I'm using a white tie today heh
I use those "Scunci" bands. They are coated with fabric so they don't snag my hair. Because my hair is so thick, I use a larger band so I can double it over a couple times. The size I use are approximately 1/8" thick and approximately 2" in diameter. And since my hair color is black...I use black bands...

I use the colored bands. Because my air is light I use blue pink white and purple.
Scrunchis.
For the last few years I've tended to use
the plain black hair elastics by scünci.
Recently though, I've been using the larger
scrunchies, also by scünci. I would imagine
that the particular brand doesn't much matter,
though scünci has proved through experience to
be fairly nice to the hair.
I find the scrunchies to be just generally
easier to get on and off than the smaller
elastics, and less prone to getting caught
up in tangles when they occur.
Just to make myself feel better, I should
point out that I should have written
has proven rather than has
proved. (I hope HTML tags work in
the message body, I've never had occasion to
try before...)
black hair ties most of the time, I havent tried those scrunchies or anything else for the matter. Since they now are metal-parts free they tend to do much less damage (and hurt) when removing.
Either a silk or velvet hair scrunchy. One of the full size ones. Smaller hair ties, no matter how loosely I tie my hair get QUITE painful after a while.
