my g/f is always molesting my hair, pulling on it, and getting it tangled... i'm afriad she's pulling all my hair out, or that my hair is breaking or something. i usually find about 5-10 hairs from my head on my body after i wash my hair... could they be from her tugging on it? or do they just naturally fall out? i have thinner flat hair..
Would she like to play with my hair, too? :-)
Losing that much hair, or more, daily in the shower is normal.

yeah... but won't i run out soon? hah... my front hair seems thinner then it used to be
Don't worry too much Eric. It is normal to lose hair every day because hair strands only live a few years and then they fall out and new ones grow in their place. So even a guy who is not "losing hair" (i.e., due to balding) will still lose a few dozen hair strands a day.
Quite a few men who never go bald still get a mild case of it. What they get is hair that thins out a little in the usual baldness areas, and/or hair that doesn't grow quite as long. This is especially a problem for the first half inch or so back from the forehead for lots of guys, which means they can still grow really long hair but that tuft up front just won't stay in the pony tie. It just never grows long enough to reach!
As to your girlfriend, I'd say she's off the hook unless she is literally pulling your hair out, in which case you will certainly be feeling it!
On the average, a human has about 80 000 hairs on the scalp.
If we count using a statistically long age, 6 years, per follicle,
this means that every day 80 000 / (6*365) = 37 follicles stop their
growth phase and drop the hair. Remember also that follicles have
different lifetimes, depending on their location and also on the
person - so you are bound to get more than that number.
This phasing is seen more clearly on longhaired people as the hair
that get detached is much longer. Remember that all the hair that
shorthaired people leave at barber's, longhaired people drop
when showering or brushing.
This does not mean, however, that accidental hair removal should
not be minimized. Every time you feel a pinch on your head,
one (or more) hair(s) has been torn out. That must not happen
when brushing or petting.

I'm not into vitamins and stuff, but like to eat varied food with
a lot of fruits and vegetables (but also meat and other stuff).
One thing, though - I drink a lot of milk (on the average almost
one liter per day). Milk contains calcium, a substance needed for
bones, and hair as well. You can substitute milk with cheese
and other milk products, but then you easily get a lot of fat
as a side product.
One female friend had to go through some crash diets, and a lot of
her hair got off, and what remains, looks lousy. So it is important
to eat varied food, all the time.
