I came upon this site by accident, but I'm glad I did. Unfortunately, I haven't the time to read all of the messages, but I'd just like to say that as a woman (and a long hair myself), I love long hair on men. I do say, however, that long hair does not suit some men, yet I love it and always will. To hell with the 90s, I have always had my own style about me and I'm glad that all you guys out there are doing your thing. If you love it, then keep it long! I'm all for you. Trust me, there are plenty of women who feel the way I do. I'll be glad when more men wear their hair long again.
In your opinion, what type of man isn't suited for long hair?
To answer your question, I have seen some men with long hair where in my opinion, it doesn't look attractive. But then again, that's my opinion. My ex-husband tried to grow his hair beyond his shoulders and it appeared very "stringy" looking and no matter how much he combed it, it gave him a "scraggy and unkept" look about him. When he cut it back to his collar-line it appeared "thicker" and was a lot better for him. He thought so as well. Short hair doesn't suit me. I cut my hair off before I had my daughter and I thought I looked awful and I felt awful to. Now its back down towards my waist and I feel great and I get many more compliments.
Its great when there is support from both sexes for men to have long hair. I was raised in a society as most men that if your hair is long then your either effeminate or below dirt. In the 90's somehow its more accepting. However to hear all the support for having long hair is very encouraging. I stumbled upon this website and am glad that Idid. My hair is halfway down my back and in very good shape. Its thin but not scraggley. Its all one length cut straight across my back sort of wavy. Would love to have it well past my waste but it seems like its stopped growing. It took me years to get up the nerve to let it grow. Then it took me 5 years to have it this long. At this point in time I hope to never have the executive cut (ken) attorney look again. Most people tell me I look Native American because I am dark complected. In any event Ilove it and feel very natural with it.
