I'm still donating to LOL, as that is what I set out to do, but I will keep some length, and let it get longer after the cut. I'll prolly cut it to about ten or tweleve inches once I get to 24", then donate that cutoff to LOL, then let it get back to 24" and keep it there. Here I am at 20 months without a cut. This is me with hair straightened via blowdrier, as I have natural corkscrew curls. Religious conditioning pays off, boys....
A request was made to see the curls, so here they are....
Gods...that's nice hair.
Man those curls are beautiful
Lots of work. Daily conditioning, washing every other day (if not, i get horrible itchy scalp..thick hair), and a weekly hour long deep conditioning (I apply either my usual conditioner and massage in really well then let sit in the hair for an hour, or I use placenta oil hot oil treatment). That deep conditioning is to stave off sun damage. Other than that, no dyes, no goops, no products, and no chemicals. I haven't used hairspray or gel since it was 3 or so inches long. Now the very idea of hairspray is sickening to me....
All hair care products I DO use are Helene Curtis products. I use Salon Selectives clarifying shampoo and dry/damaged conditioner. For straightening (blow drier), I use Helene Curtis Thermasilk shampoo and conditioner, both for dry/damaged hair. When I do want more definition or a little hold, I use Salon Selectives Loosely Defined hair creme. I actually use these products mostly because I like the way they smell... LOL! But they work really well, too, so...bonus!
That's not a wig...
My daughter and I have decided to do the same. We love long hair and we want to help kids who can not grow their own. It will just be longer before we can give some to Locks of Love.
Yeah, I'll keep it long after, but since I did start out to do the donation, i'm not retracting that vow.
Looks suspicious to me
Suspicious? Howso?
