My hair isn't near that length, but I find that length very nice to look at. I would like to talk with you two or any other guy with hair that long.

Am intrigued by your posting. If you would like to discuss, please EMail me. JL
Do you have any photos of your roller sets, especially up-dp's? A lot of us would love to see them. Why not post them, if you have them, to the Men's Long Hair Site or to lisahair's home page?

No dout this is the greatest. I have a little longer than shoulder length and only wear a ponytail at work because I'm not able to start a braid myself. My hair is thin and seem to be braking off before it gets any longer. I do trim about every 3 to 4 months. It just isn't getting past this point! I use only salon products and miosterizers but the bad end still come back.
The absolute best braid I've ever had was called fish bone (I think)
had a stylist try it once. But she moved on. If you have ever heard of this braid tryit.
I believe it can start out as french braid with the braid mostly on the inside so it doesn't stand out then taking some hair from the back of the middle strand and adding it to the outer ones as you finish all the way down.

Tim,
I have only had the "fishbone" French braid done once, but it's not for lack of trying or liking it. I think it's a really great look, but to date I've only found one stylist who can do it, and at that (by her own admission) not really well. It tends to get looser as you go down the braid, so by the time she was done, most of the braid was kind of resting toward the base of my head. It still looked okay, but I prefer braids that are tighter and start higher up -- a little forward of the crown.
I have the breakage problem to some degree, too, particularly with the front hairs, which are thinner to begin with. If I wear a ponytail, I need to hit the front and sides with a little spray so those shorter strands will stay where I want them.
I also like the underbraid style, which does make the braid stand out on your head, but usually get the overbraid (braid is inside) done, and that's the only way I can do it myself. All you can do is keep practicing, and watch carefully when the stylist does it. Getting started is key, and I find the whole thing is easier to do when my hair is still pretty wet. Try it out, and let me know how you do.

I would like a picture of J.J.'s hair, particularly bun or french twist.
