Im am joinig the U.S Coast Guard , I know that in boot camp ure hair would be cut but what i would like to know is if I can keep it long after I become a Coast Guard and if I cant is there anything i can do about it?
Actually long hair is not acceptable in the Coast Guard. But I have had some successful experience with local Guardsmen wanting long hair: developed "longhair" styles which allowed for long tops and bangs which remained undetected when worn under a regulation cap in public (in the presence of their superiors). Find a good stylist in the area of your duty station and go for it. Good luck!
Did you any of you already see men in uniform with (really) long bangs?
I would estimate 8-10 inches long. Thanks to gel and a combing technique, when his cap was in place he appeared to have a regulation haircut.
