Personally i dont see whats so nice about his hair! Heres a guy whos hair i think is pretty awsome, i noticed it when he was walking round at a gig i went to. (ignore the corpse paint, is a black metal band)

I met the guy twice, and I can say with all certainty it appeared as if he cut his own hair. He certianly didn't wash it. It was ragged and dirty. He smelled as if he was allergic to soap and water. Even his clothes were really dirty. He smelled like the worst body odor you can imagine.
If there is one example of hair NOT to have, it's Cobain's. That was some horrific hair. Anyone who thinks he had nice or cool hair has extremely poor taste in my opinion. I'd rather see a shaved head or buzz cut than that nasty stuff.

AMEN!!! Why "anyone" likes his hair is beyond me. I just don't get it...I mean, what is so "awesome" about having DIRTY, NASTY, GREASER, UNMANAGED, FILTHY, etc. hair like Kurt Cobain's?!?! Yes, he was famous and that might have something to do with it, but when I see an average Joe around town that looks like Kurt it just makes me want to hose them (and their hair) down with alcohol & bleach just to see if any of their "funk" can be washed off. Greasers & grungers give us "clean" long haired men a bad wrap because whether you believe it or not society lumps us in your "FILTHY" catagory for the simple fact that we have long hair therefore we must be just greasers & grungers just like you. Yeah right, you better think twice when you look at me before you start throwing me (& others like me) in your "FILTHY" category!!! To all you grungers & greasers out there, please take a bath...it would make my life alot easier if you guys would just polish up your image a bit.

No, I don't think he had an undercut.
I always thought Kurt had a cool look and I always liked his hair but I never met him in person(unfortunately) because I was 11 when he died. His hair probably was damaged and dirty but I don't see it being a priorty of his seeing as how he was a junkie and was on a busy touring schedule.
He didn't say he liked Kurt's hair. Give him a break. He was just asking a question. Therefore, I will try to answer it.
No, Kurt didn't have an undercut; at least, not in most pictures of him I saw. However, his hair was dirty, greasy, matted, and bleached and damaged, which was probably why it looked so thin.
