I was wondering if anyone know exactly like what kind of haircut kurt cobain had and how long it was. I mean like if I grew it out long enough then went to the salon to get it cut like his what would cut would I ask for. I also want to do it red like he used to have for a while. If you want his hair, shave everything but the top of your head (undercut), and effectively stop washing your hair.

O.K, Kurt Cobain was a revolutinary rock artist in the early 90's. Yes, he did inadvertanly start the grunge trend, and is the king of hard rock. People are still trying to emulate his style and demeanor. Yes, KURT was cool, so therefore, we think his hairstyle is cool, but lets face facts. His hair sucked. Hair didn't make him the way he was, his attitude,vision amd talent made him a force. So stop trying to be something your not. Growing your hair like mr. cobains won't make you become him. Come on, admit it, you guys are basically just trying to parrot his style (or lack of) and its sad. Be your own person like he was, don't follow the crowd, be YOU. I will personally kill the next person who creates "Kurt Cobain Style" topic. ANd i use the word style in its loosest form of the word.

Don't get me wrong here, I actually like a couple of Nirvana's songs. But "...king of hard rock" -- NO WAY!! Anyway, his hair definitely sucked. If you want that look just don't wash or brush your hair -- ever.

The guy sucked. Couldn't sing, barely could play the guitar. I can teach ANYONE here to play ANY Nirvana song on guitar in 20 minutes - even if you've never touched a guitar in your entire life.

Most of today's "rock" has little substance other than some power chords. Where's the [good] lead guitar?

Tell me since the late '80's when you've heard a guitar solo?! If you listen to today's music you WILL NOT hear a guitar solo...ever! I'm a child of the '80's rock / metal bands and wish like hell I could go back in time and just live in the '80's forever! Besides, ALL (almost all) of the bands back in the '80's had awesome hair!!!

Actually, yes they did. There hair was at least CLEAN. Besides that those aren't bands that I prefer to listen to [the one's you listed]. In addition; I liked [much of - but not all] of the music from the '80's. The hair doesn't make the band -- the music does. As I said before [in case you weren't paying attention], I like some of Nirvana's songs. But NO, they aren't hard rock. That was the point.
Sorry, but the rot i've been reading is rubbish. Kurt Cobain had mostly clean hair. He would wash it at least once a week apparantly. So for the people who have their heads jammed up their butt0cks just do some reading around the subject first.
Simple does not mean it's crap! It's a matter of preference. If you do not like Nirvana's music, than that's you're opinion and you're entitled to it and I respect your opinion. That does not mean that it's crap! I love Nirvana's music and it literally changed my life. I most likely would not be a longhair if not for Nirvana and yes, I do wash and take care of my hair and it looks nothing like Kurt's.
If you want your hair to look like his just cut it yourself and don't wash it very often. Which I think is what he did. Oh yeah, and bleach the HELL out of it!

It doesn't look that bad! I like Kurt's hair and in fact he was one of my inspirations to start growing. I tried to get mine like his but then realized that it's not right for me, so I grew it really long.

Okay the hair's nice and all, but I'm totally digging that sweater. And is it just me, or does the tall guy remind anyone else of the guy in Ferris Bueller's Day Off?
Oh come on, his hair sucks, look at it! Lifeless, no body, greasy. Don't try to have someone else's hair - trust me, you'll look best with your natural style.

To each his own I imagine, but I really cannot see what the big deal is about this dude's hair that is so "F'in" amazing and so damn "awesome"?!?! We might should rename this web site to "The Official Web Site To Praise Kurt Cobain's Hair"!!! It seems every other day there are posts about this dude's hair?! Look, like I said...to each his own if you like that hair...but for me personally, I wouldn't have my hair like that if you paid me!!! That is the nastiest, dirtiest, filthiest, greasiest, etc. hair that I have ever seen in my entire life!!! I can just picture it now in his mother's kitchen, "Kurt, honey, can you come in here for a minute and squeeze your hair out over the skillet so that I can fry some chicken?!"
Can we please give this one a rest?! There are tons & tons of others out there who have hair 10X better than this dude's ever looked even on his best days!!! Why would anyone actually "want" to have nasty, dirty, filthy, etc. hair?! If you want that look then you better pray that you are famous one day because you are never going to get any respect - nor any women - or men - or whatever you choose - from society with nasty & filthy hair! Famous people can do whatever they wish for the simple fact that they are famous...but for just average people living in today's society let me be the first to tell you that guys with that nasty & filthy hair style give all of us other "clean / healthy" long haired guys a bad name and it takes a ton of work to crawl ourselves out of this stereotype that nasty & filthy hair styled guys have brought upon us. So from me to you - do what you wish if that's the style you like, but thanks a helluva lot for making it hard on me in society's eyes!!!

The guy was NOT, repeat NOT what I'd call a "longhair". Not even close. He had honestly the very worst hair I've ever seen.

Actually, Courtney Love has some of his hair because he was creameated but I get your point.
You might think a little more long term and set your sights a bit higher. We encourage long healthy hair here.
