I don't know how many of you read the 2/21/03 post by "FITMUS", but it wasn't me! (something about hair looking like "a@s") Those of you that know me and know how I write hopefully picked up on the immature wording, which I don't use. You know it's funny because I was wondering if and when I was "trolled" if the poster would at least have immitated my style to make it more believable. I guess I shouldn't have had such a high expectation for immaturity!
Something to maybe keep in mind for everyone here: Because it seems as though "trolling" (ie--when someone posts as a 'real' member on this board to purposefully cause problems) has become commonplace here, just keep in mind that there's a pretty good chance it's not even the "real" poster!! In other words, take the posts with a grain of salt, especially when reading the post causes strife!
Lastly, I know some people mentioned a log in system and maybe a verification system to stop these obnoxious messages, and then someone in turn replied that these things realistically won't happen soon or just aren't feasible, which I tend to agree with. So, one option that is feasible that you can do right now, which I've been thinking about, is to just change your name each time you post. Yes, that will unfortunately take away the intimacy of the board, but I just wanted to throw that option out, especially since "trolling" seems so rampant now and there doesn't seem to be any protection for us. In fact, I don't even know if the posts are still being screened like they previously were. If not, I suppose we need the screening now more than before.

But no, even if I was having a bad hair day I wouldn't resort to that! :)
I won't be changing my name everytime, because ONE individual finds it amusing to post as different members. No thanks. I wanna know if its Luckskind or, you Fitmus, Wolf or any of the others posting. We all will just have to deal with trolls for now,and not let it get us down.
Because if we kept changing we would REALLY be MiXeD uP!
Changing your name for each post is against the rules and may subject you to expulsion from the board. If someone is using your identity, I ask that you contact me via email, and I will remove the offending thread.
I removed the offending thread. By the way, the term is "spoofed". The post may be a troll, but it is your name that is spoofed.
