I have recently decided that I would like to grow my hair. I have gone two weeks since my last cut. I have very thick dark black hair. When I do let it grow it is like a bush. It will be growing out from a high and tight. My hair does grow fast but I want to know someways to prevent myself from paying a visit to the barber and having it all taken off again.
Suggestions or e-mail would be helpful. Thanks

Select a hairstylist, NOT a barber, who can give you a proper LONGER hairstyle while you're growing out your hair. Most cities have unisex salons where this can be done. Explain to your stylist that you will
be growing your hair out to whatever length and that the hairstyle should repect your growing phase. So very little should be trimmed to
achieve your styling goal. There are plenty of male longish styles going back to the 70's. Some men still wear 70's longer styles.

Depends on what kind of hairstyle you ultimately want. A hairstylist
should be able to help you here. Maybe even your barber can help you
grow your hair out. From a distance, I saw a traditional barber trim
a shoulder length blunt cut once. It looked fine, certainly no worse
than a blunt cut from a hair salon.
i poop on that
