Why are so many long haired guys opposed to using gel in their hair? I am very attracted to a clean, slicked ponytail on a guy yet I hear a lot of negative comments on the hyperboard about using hair gel. Any particular reasons why?
there are so many kinds. Some are thick & sticky and build up quickly.
Right now I really like: l'Oreal Studio FX MELTING GEL...
WHY?
It's CLEAN, thin, slick, controls flyaways, gives weight to the hair
so that it relaxes a bit, adds some shine, rinses out nicely, works
well with Aussie Moist Conditioner and Aussie Moist Shampoo.
For touch-ups: l'Oreal LIQUID (spray) Gel. Almost the same
but it is thinner and sprays on where you want it.
PS: The 'trick' to success with gels is to put them in your hair
when it is still damp after a shampoo or cleaning.
I second that (something I found out recently).
've been growing my hair longer (it's now medium size, and prolly would be considered short by most people here ;)
