I was browsing one of the other website's I normally view and there was a topic about haircuts. I was suprised to see alot of people saying such things as "Haircuts are stupid" and "Do what I'm doing, and let your hair grow".
Anyone else come across something similar?
but I have seen similiar sentiments before. I think what it really is, is that people wish that their hair would stay nice and short without actually having to go through the hassle of getting it cut. When I was growing up, I used to drive my parents through the roof when they tried to make me get a hair cut with protests and struggles and trying to get out of it. When I realized that having long hair was a byproduct of not having to suffer through the barber's chair, it was just more fuel for the fire.
I actually miss not getting my hair cut. I used to go to a cheap place on 6th St. in San Francisco and an old, Filipino guy would lull me into an incredibly relaxed state as he did his thing to my head. I often dozed as the ecstasy of having my head attended to sunk in deeply. He even used a straight razor on the edges and bay rum and powder to finish. I always felt great when I left.
You longhair religionist may call me nuts or terminally brainwashed, but if I ever go back to short hair, I know where I'm going for a haircut and I just hope that guy will still be there.
