As my hair gets longer(front hairline is under my eyes), I want to buy a GOOD brush instead of that old thing I used until now.
Where should I look for it?
What should I look for (material, gaps, little spheres at end or not,...)?
How does your brush look like?
sorry for my english, sorry for the stupid question, thanks for the answeres and greets from Austria

I use two brushes on a regular basis. One is a typical hair brush with mild knobs on the ends of the plastic bristles. The brand is Conair. If you get a brush with knobs on the ends of the bristles, make sure they are gentle knobs. The angle between the bristle surface and the knob surface should not be too abrupt. I use this brush to detangle and to brush my hair when it is wet (yes I brush when wet).
The other brush I use is called a porcupine brush. There are several brands of porcupines. What they all have in common is two kinds of bristles. Long, white, flexible plastic tines serve to detangle. Short black and/or brown tines, some of which may be boar bristles, serve to smooth the hair and flatten the cuticle. I use porcupines only on dry hair.
My daughter has a sensitive scalp and will only use a porcupine. The flexible white bristles are great, because they help avoid putting too much stress on the hair strands.
