I remember there used to be alot of arguments on this board about silicones and how they can damage hair. I just don't buy this, maybe if you get really scientific it isn't the best thing for hair but I just don't believe it will cause damage to your hair. I know girls that have had long hair all their life and they use pantene or other similar products and there is absolutely nothing wrong with their hair. I just think it's overkill to be so concerned over silicones in your shampoo. What do you guys think about this?
Lumping all silicones together is what the problem is. As with most things, there is a spectrum of silicones, some of which are harmful, some not....
I agree.
I also don't think combing hair when wet is bad. I think that's an old wives tale that has never been proven and needs to be put to rest.
I think too many people here get too stressed out about hair care. Maybe it's just because I've been a longhair for 25 years, I dunno. With time comes knowledge. With time you learn what works and what doesn't. In the meantime...stop stressing about little stuff.
Ya, I brush when wet also.
