Yesterday, a girl I work with commented that my hair's "really growing fast." I thought it was just because it was poofy, 'cause I had recently washed it. But today, I noticed that after I got out of the shower, my hair seemed to be hanging lower than normal. Even now, I've got hair in my eyes. I think it might be that my hair is starting to straighten out, but I'm curious as to whether anyone here has expercienced growth spurts with their hair. It's really cool either way.
its funny you say that because just today i noticed my hair hanging down alot further on its own too.. i mean i havent just let me hair go before cuz i always wear a cap to work but it was all in my eyes today as well.. annoying as it was i felt releived that im finally getting somewhere..
Human hair tends to grow a bit faster during the summer.
I've heard of this on numerous occassions. Why is this?
that hair would grow faster in the winter...but no!
Wish someone could give a scientific explanation...
That would be the logical thing. I mean these Miami winters are tough! :)
Why does hair grow faster in summer than in winter and what about
the seasonal change is responsible i.e. the reduction in daylight
or temperature?

more Vitamin D, which is involved in making hair.
Interesting! I never hear anyone talk about Vitamin D supplements, only Biotin, MSM, Vitamin C and Keratin. Time to consume mass quantities of fish liver oil, fatty saltwater fish, dairy products and eggs! LOL
there has to be more to it than SUNshine & vit-D?!
That's probably a good reason to grow my hair long before I move to Seattle. The Pacific Northwest isn't especially known for its great weather, but I like the rain, so it should work out.
I love the weather up there (of course, I was born in Victoria).
Have you considered that it's just your perception?
When you live with hair everyday it's easy to not pay that close of attention to it ALL the time. Hair does keep growing and can be different from week to week.
