Gray hair tends to be a bit coarser, and consequently wilder than pigmented hair.
For you mature gentlemen out there, what kind of conditioning do you use to tame your gray? And what effect, if any does it have on your pigmented hair?
-William
Well, I have a few and they are WILD and curly and refuse to be TAMED!
I slick them down with gel but a few hours later they have raised
themselves like creatures rising unexpectly from the sea...
Can't drown them...
those hairs have a mean streak!
Try ShoftSheen Breakthru leave in. Use sparingly. You can get it at Wal Mart.
Another thing that works well is this green stuff I get from my stylist. Can't remember the name, but it's made up of phytoplankton. Smells unusual, but is extremely effective.
So I should go to my stylist and ask for "The green stuff that Rokker uses"? Is there any way you could turn this suggestion into something more useful???
HOW ABOUT THIS:
Paul Mitchell - Conditioning mist:
Awapuhi Moisture Mist
'Helps restore the skins natural moisture factors by replenishing free amino acids, minerals and other valuable nutrients.'
Ingredients: Awapuhi Extract * Phytoplankton Extract * Spirulina Extract * Sodium PCA * Propylene Glycol * Polyquaternium-4 * Lactic Acid * PEG-40 Hydrogenated Castor Oil * Diazolidinyl Urea * Methylparaben * Fragrance
should have been: "helps restore the HAIR's natural moisture."
Because I care...I called my stylist and got the info....
It's made by RUSK. It's called DEEP SHINE.
Can't miss it. Look for a sea green hair cream.
i would like some advice on coloring also.. im only 21 but ive noticed im starting to go grey around the back .. its VERY early stage at the moment but i know i will go grey. its inevitable. so.. when i grow my hair out by next year do i dye it ? if so permanent dye or semi perm or ????
Hair coloring is an individual choice. If you don't want the grey, by all means color it.
I typically color only parts of my hair, not all of it. There are plenty of safe hair colors you can use.

Yes, but is it the shampoo, conditioner...or what?
I've used only the leave-in. I can't comment on the other stuff.
Thank you very much Rokker. I really appreciate the fact that you went out of your way for me.
Sincerely,
-William
I don't do anything. I earned this grey hair over the years,
I enjoy all of it.
(Waist length)
I have gray (nearly white) hair to my shoulders. Started to get gray in my twentys -- thirty-some years ago.
I wash it every other morning with Pantene Shampoo/Conditioner and use a few drops of Aussie Smoothy Gloss to help control the frizzies. I have a photo attached, but I have since had a trim last october to even it out and it brought my hair neatly to my shoulders. But now I will not have it trimmed again for several months
I get compliments from many folks that I work with and frequently from strangers. I wear it down most of time, but always have a tail at work. BTW - my boss says she likes it.
and GLAD your boss says she LIKES it!
