looking good from what we can see. how long is it now ??
I think it's somewhere around 8 or 8.5 inches
Wow...you can really see the length now!
Looks like I've got a fellow scanner user here. Never surrender to the digital camera! Good to see you weren't as obsessed as I was w/ getting a shot w/ my whole face in it. (Only took about 2 hours.) Anyways, nice hair, and you're smarter than me for not looking directly into the scanner.
Actually, I used a webcam and held a halogen lamp really close to my face. It was very painful, though.
Ahhh. Still, kinda the same effect. I ended up under my desk, scanner propped against the wall, with 3 lamps and a flashlight, trying to get enough light to see anything. I'm tellin' ya, the things we do for our fans. . .
BTW, I love this picture. I get the feeling that there's so much running through your mind there. Once I get my printer working again, I'm thinking of putting your picture up on my wall. We seem to have the same type of hair, so it'll be good inspiration, but also just 'cause it's a great picture. I love the lighting and the angle, the expression on your face and the look in your eyes. I don't know. I guess I'm just kinda weird.
Hope you're comfortable w/ the weird guy having your picture on his wall. You'll be right alongside Viggo Mortensen (LotR) and Luke Wilson. And that's good company.
Heh. Thanks.
Why do you say that? The current crop of DSLRs are beginning to rival film-based medium format cameras in quality.
I'm assuming DSLRs are digital cameras. Basically, I'm cheap. If I've got a scanner that can make a picture, I'm not gonna buy a digital camera. I'm sure I'll get one soon enough. (My parents have been thinking of getting one.) And as soon as I do, you can rest assured that all my future progress pics will have at least one dog in them w/ me.
DSLRs are digital single lens reflex cameras. They basically look like a typical prosumer or professional 35 mm camera, but they are digital. I assumed that what you were getting at was quality. Now I see you were looking to save a penny. May I point out that with digital, you don't have to purchase film, so, depending on what you do, it can be cheaper, even with the cost of the camera.
Dear Victor,
I must politely ask you to stop having an answer to everything I post. You're making me look bad. ;)
Love,
HappyPuppy
I even have an answer to this post. While on the one hand, I have been praising digital cameras, on the other, I don't yet own one. You might like to know that I do, however, have two scanners, a flatbed scanner and a film scanner.
Woohoo! Dogs!
Dude. Sweet hair!
