I'd like to ask all the guys out there if they use conditioner. If you all do, what is it? I'd like to know why you use it and what it does for you. I love trying stuff on my hair and I wanna hear from other long haired guys out there.
Yep! Sure do! Right now I use Infusium 23 for the "wash it out" conditioner, and also their leave-in conditioner. Good stuff! I use a leave-in conditioner by TIGI called "Essensuals" . . .a GREAT conditioner with lots of oils for those of us with drier hair, and finally, I use a protein protective spray by TIGI as well. . .not because I use a dryer so much, but because it has panthenol, biotin and collagen in it and NONE of their products have alcohol in them.

Pantene does the job for me. Just be sure to rinse it all out. My hair is very fine; if I don't get it rinsed well, my hair tends to feel a little "flat."

I have really oily hair, so I wash it daily with Pantene Cleansing shampoo and condition it with the fortifying conditioner. I get lots of compliments on how shiny and nice my hair is. It also helps to condition only the pontyail; I guess the top of the hair doesn't need it. (I called Pantene and got that tip from a girl named Lisa.) It really does make a difference.
Someone told me recently that Pantene has a lot of alcohol in it. Does it? Are there any other 2-step shampoo/conditioners that are as good for the hair but without the alcohol?
Thanks
Matt,
I don't know about the alcohol, but look at the back of the bottle and you will see 'cones listed in abundance in Pantene. I tried Aveda Shampure shampoo and Cherry Almond Bark Conditioner at the suggestion of Karen Shelton at the Hair Boutique.... I ain't never going back. My hair is healthier than it has ever been without the weight of the silicones on it. The only REAL problem with Aveda is that is is EXPENSIVE! There are some places online where you can get it cheaper (In fact, the feature article right now for the Hair Boutique is an online supplier that has offered discount prices....)

Why are silicones bad for hair?

well... i usually use salon selectives. conditioning helps to detangle for me... much easier to brush out after showering.
I use 'Aussie' "Hair Insurance".. It is a leave-in conditioner that one sprays on after showering/washing.. It is a big help getting tangles out, too.. A few sprays on the wet hair will do..
