Hi everyone,
i have a pretty long hair, wich i really like. But i have a big problem with it.
My hair is so damn thick, so i wonder if there's something i can do to prevent that. Some shampoo or whatever, thanks alot.

I have the same problem, but my hair isn't that long yet. This is what I did: I haved the back and sides (underneath the top). Now it looks fine and I still retain my sanity
I've been dealing with that for a few years now.. My hair is so thick it will mat if I'm not careful.. If it is very curly like mine, use a leave-in conditioner.. I have had good luck with an over-the-counter one by 'Aussie' called "Hair Insurance"-- About five bucks.. I have found that it 'relaxes' the hair somewhat... I never blow-dry mine.. I look like a huge dust bunny if I do.. Heh heh
If you come up with a good solution, let me know or post here!!

This is my first time to post a followup on this site, but this topic deemed a response from me:
I have long hair past my shoulder blades, and not only are there a lot of hairs per square inch but they are also noticeably coarse, thick follicles. There is interminably wavy, which I've eventually accepted. I've discovered that two products by TRESemme work quite well:
1. Vitamin Hair Replenisher (which I believe to be similar to Pantene's leave-in conditioner)
2. Contour Hair Creme (which is applied after #1)
After a month of use, these, coupled with Pantene's Intensive Conditioner and shampooings twice a week, have left me with hair that friends walk up to and stroke. It's made quite a difference. "ooh, la la" the commercials say.
Is this the product that comes in a clear upright squeezable (tube) bottle? If so, are you experiencing any difficulties locating this product in stores?
I live in Illinois and this was my favorite product for defining my curls. Unfortunately, I can't seem to locate a store that carries this product any more. Can you tell me were you purchase yours.
Thank you.
