Well, as my hair is getting longer, it is starting to curl-up. What i initially thought was frizzyness, dryness, was in fact just curly/wavy hair. I went to a pro. hair salon, which said that my hair will end up being pretty curly. not like small tight little curls, more like big loose wavy curls...at first i was disapointed, but then thought that it might look alright. but...i need your help. how do i care for curly hair? i heard that combing/brushing makes it worse...ohhhhh why me? the stylist reccomended some products, but can you say $$$? i really like my aussie products, but does anyone suggest anything else? better? well thankz, c-ya later
i have curly/hella wavy hair, and the girls love it. I just discoverd moose and it weighs it down just enuff, and its just styling. Guys make fun of my curly hair but what the hell do they know. Girls are complimenting the hell out of it and get head turns more often then i did when it was combed straight or shaved. In fact, im in love with my curly hair and wouldn't trade it for anyting now. I used to despise it, but ever since i embraced it and went the full monty so to speak, Ive been getting rave reviews from nearly everyone. Moose helped me 110 percent. Don't get down on yourself, embrace the hair you have and spend time "figuring it out". Took me years to realize that. uhh...what was your question again??
I hope you'll be encouraged by Jude's reply. Accept your hair as it is. Life will be a lot more enjoyable. Click on My pal Petes pics. The girls were all over him back then.
i am now a short-haired norm...
man, 8.5 months down the drain. :(
im bummed out, totally
The secret is:
in the shower (EVERY MORNING), wash your hair, put in conditioner, and while the conditioner is in, comb it out with a wide-toothed comb. This gets rid of all tangles. Rinse conditioner. Now you will be able to towel-dry your hair and then comb through it with ease.
If you desire, put in some gel or mousse at this stage (while towel-dried). Comb/style the way you want, then DONT TOUCH IT. Let it air dry. Simple! (you may also be able to blow-dry... im not a fan of this thou... maybe once my hair is longer it will work better for me).
My hair sounds a lot like yours. Awkard stage SUCKS but live with it and you'll have sweet hair within a year or two. I'm at just over one year now and its starting to look good.
