Hey everybody!
Sorry if this question has been asked before (it probably has been a lot)... but anyway, what kind of oil would everybody recommend using for my hair? I need something to help weigh my frizz around the part down a bit and to keep it moist during the Winter... I was thinking coconut oil. What do you say? By the way, my hair is past my chin in the front and almost to my shoulders in back.

Hi,
Personally, I would recommend Jojoba... (i've been using it on my hair for a couple weeks, and it's _really_ taken care of the frizzyness (and that fluffyness)
hope this helps...

If you want jojoba, you can get it at Wal Mart for cheap. Look in the section for African-American air products. They sell a jojoba blend. It's cheap.
Word of caution...use VERY sparingly. Jojoba can make your hair look very greasy if you use too much. One spray in the palm, rub palms, apply carefully to problem areas.
I personally don't use jojoba oil, but I know for a lot of people it works very well. Remember to use very little though.
ahh... i did not know that walmart had it...
definetly true on the small amount though,
my hair's about 10" long, and ~10 drops is _plenty_ to flatten it out/get rid of frizz...
also good for dry skin...

Thanks a lot! I've actually seen jojoba around in the African-American specialty stores around here... I'll check it out!

My hair is about the same length as yours and i have the same problem with slight frizzies on the top and some on the sides. I found a product line called "bed head" and in that line there is one called "girl toys". Its like an oil and you only need to use a little bit it works great.
