I've been growing my hair out from a short cut for about 2 years now. It's close to a foot long, but with the curls it doesn't look quite that long. I hope the image works properly.

Quick stupid question from a newbie... my hair is perfectly straight and has been growing for about a year now... it already looks almost as long as in the photo here... does straight hair appear a lot longer than curly hair or something? It's a stupid question, I know, but I'm a long hair wannabe, that's all... ;) I just hope mine appears slightly longer after 2 years...
Yeah, straight hair will look a lot longer. I straightened mine once with a straightening iron and it was almost mid-back length. The curls eat up length like crazy.
