I've been growing my hair for almost nine months. I got an ill-advised trim about six months ago. Recently I've been noticing a lot of short (about 1"/2.5cm) hairs sticking straight up out of my part line. They all seem to be about the same length. Is this normal? Any suggestions on what could cause this? Is it possible these hairs were "resting" for many months and just sprouted? Could I have somehow broken off a lot of hairs all at once? I spent some time in an extremely cold climate about two months ago, could that have stimulated new hairs to grow? I would appreciate hearing your theories. Thanks!
its normal. using a good conditioner will diminish the effect. you might want to try a leave-in conditioner.
try coating the palms of your hands with a gel
and stroking just the top layer of your hair very lightly
trying to cover only the hair sticking uP
