Prompted by the recent thread on whether or not a bob style would look ...er... um... pretty... on a guy, and not knowing what bobs look like, I did a search for "bob hair styles" via snap.com and found a site with photos of various bob styles. After finally gaining some grasp on what the style looks like, I'm confused. It seems hair has to be short (not more than chin length, anyway) to be a bob. Vic, what's considered long hair?
Nyghtfall,
I have done some research on the bob style too and there are many different length and variations. A bob can be usually anwhere from shoulder length to above the ears. It can have the appearance of being cut one length on the edge or it can be layered. It can be stacked in the back, buzzed in the back, or undercut in the back. This is a versatile style in my opinion and I just love the way that it looks and moves.
I suppose it is relative to the norm. A bob style would definitely be long in the military, for example.
