  Just posting to inform those who still read my messages that I've actually started measuring some of the loose hairs that wind up on the counter after I shower: I've been growing my hair out from a very short buzz cut for just over a year (My last cut was in late February of 2002), and the average strand of hair that I come across measures apx. 17 centimeters.

    By my calculations, that converts to about 6.75 inches. Keep it going. I am closing in on my one year without a trim at the beginning of April.

    Hmmm... I'm around the same growth period and my hair measures about 10 inches from the top of my head downwards... interesting...
