I've had some things running through my head that I've been meaning to post, but they've all been really short, and not worth the trouble. So I'm just gonna put them all into one post here.
I got really bored, and figured out that hair grows at the approximate rate of .0000002 inches/second, or .016 inches/day.
I can finally get the longest strands of my hair into my mouth. It takes a bit of doing, but it gets there.
A few days ago at work, I saw one of my old teachers. The next day, she told my brother I looked like a hippie. Hooray for people noticing!
Yesterday at work, a couple of co-workers stopped me and asked when I was going to get my hair cut. I think I've finally got everyone trained on the "You-know-the-answer-to-that" look.
Why is it I can't think up any good comebacks until about a minute after? From now on whenever anyone asks when I'm getting my hair cut, I'm just gonna say something to the effect of: "I've calculated the date for my first touch-up trim to be in January of 2004, however, due to curling, the date may be pushed back."
And if anyone asks why I don't get my hair cut, or why I'm growing it out, it'll be: "Because I'm trying to be as closed-minded to your ideas as you are to mine."
That's all I've got.
The only comeback I use when the guys at work ask me, "When are you going to get a hair cut?" is, "Which one?" After all they did say "A HAIR", right? LOL!
you don't need any come-backs, just say "I'm not"
Or just start laughing uncontrollably.
AMAZING...never thought about it THAT way before...
I LIKE your COMEBACK VERY MUCH! Giving people a DATE
a year or more from now...
FORCES them to STOP & THINK...
and in the meantime...you have walked away and are already half
way down the street...LOL
I'm now in my 3rd month of growing my hair out from a buzz cut, i'm just starting to get the - when are you going to get your hair cut -
Like joe says just say i'm not, it's funny though because all except one guy at my work is or has gone bald and they all sport very short hair :¬) so i guess i'm in for some real stick from them, jealousy will do it everytime.. lol
Is it just me or have other people that have grown their hair also grown an obsession with it ?? i mean i can't stop thinking about how long my hair is NOW how long will it be in a week ect ect.. wish i could just put a hat on and forget all about it for another 12 months.!!! It's now way past my usual style and i'm having problems getting it looking half right, neither short nor long :¬(
I had a little milestone if you could call it that, where the other day at work i found myself trying to pick something out of my hair that was in my vision, only to find it was actually my hair!!! lol
It's not just you ! (I think the existence of this board proves that). For me it's a better obsession than some of the destructive obsessions and addictions I used to have. I had a look in the dictionary and the meaning of 'obsession' is all to do with thinking (or doing) things continually and disturbingly. My view is that long hair is a benign obsession as long as it doesn't start to 'disturb' other aspects of your life (relationships, work, hobbies and so on).
Happy growing !
Someone on this board had a list of snappy comebacks on their
site. Anyone here recognize their site?
It's Hair Religion's I believe. http://hairreligion.com/
Hi -
You might want to scroll-down the Hyperboard (quite a ways now) and have a look at my: RETORTS FOR THE NIT-PICKERS. That may give you some ideas that sre easy to remember..............and throw these miserable pests right over your shoulder. Best part about it is that YOU will end up with the fun and laughs. Good luck. Justin~
